CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that combines weightlifting, sprinting, and gymnastics. It is designed to deliver a fitness that is intentionally broad, general, and all inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing.
The CrossFit prescription for results is “constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement.” You workout might include heavy back squats followed immediately by agility work with a jump rope.
Our definition of fitness, being “CrossFit,” comes through modeling men and women that are equal parts gymnast, Olympic weightlifter, and sprinter. Develop the capacity of a novice 800-meter track athlete, gymnast, and weightlifter and you’ll be fitter than any specialist. Still not convinced? Check out the CrossFit whitepaper (pdf).

About Our Gym
We are not your typical gym. We are a fitness facility. CrossFit strives to break away from the current, flawed fitness model we see so prevalent in America. You won’t find mirrors, fancy equipment, and a juice bar. What you will find are all the tools necessary to build elite levels of fitness.
Whatever your fitness level is today and whatever your fitness goals may be, we are there to help and guide you every step of the way. As with any endeavor you may choose to participate in, having fun is the glue that holds it all together. CrossFit has no peer in the ability to foster a sense of accomplishment and team building amongst it’s participants. Yes, you will be challenged within your limits, but we assure you, you’ll end every workout with a smile and high-five.
Weight machines and performing single muscle exercises are not practical or functional in life or sport. Real fitness is not sport specific and it most certainly is not long distance cardio efforts. It doesn’t separate muscle strength and conditioning from cardio. Real fitness is having competence in all of the body’s general physical skills as well as aerobic and anaerobic systems (metabolic engines). Competence in one at the exclusion or deficit of the other is not elite fitness
General physical skills – Real fitness is defined by competence in each of these ten skills:
- Cardiovascular endurance
- Stamina
- Strength
- Flexibility
- Power
- Speed
- Coordination
- Agility
- Balance
- Accuracy
Metabolic engines (your energy systems) – Providing energy for all human action. Total fitness requires competency and training in each of these engines:
- Phosphagen engine (anaerobic) – dominates the highest powered activities (those that last less than 10 seconds.)
- Glycolytic engine (anaerobic) – dominates moderate powered activities (those that last up to several minutes.)
- Oxidative engine (aerobic) – dominates low-powered activities that last in excess of several minutes.
